Being In Present Time
By Sherry Kirschner
The concept
of being in the present has been a subject in various teachings for a
long time. Its had several names like the here and now,
present time, being in the now, and other similar
ones. Some people might have difficulty understanding the concept on a
deeper level than just the intellectual. An experience I had recently
perhaps can help explain it a bit better.
I was at a clients place of business, working, when I experienced
a rush of thoughts going through my head. One in particular was the face
of one of the members of the Association whose place of business I was
working at. Just as I was experiencing this, a co-worker blurted out,
Hi, I was just thinking about you! to a woman who had just
entered the building. Standing in front of the counter was the woman whose
face had just passed through my thoughts.
Needless to say this was an opportunity to share energy awareness with
my colleagues. After the woman left, I said, You know, you just
had a psychic experience. I related to them that I had experienced
the same thought and explained a little about how we get ahead of ourselves
as spirit and arrive places before our physical body actually does. They
were attentive but I could see that a realization wasnt really happening
although they did understand what I was saying intellectually. But a few
weeks later when I arrived at work, one co-worker said, I was just
wondering when you were coming in and when I looked out the window, I
saw you arrive! I remembered what you said about that. She was pleased
because she experienced a realization and it had opened her awareness.
There is no time or space on the energy level so as spirit we can be anywhere
in mind at any given time. On the other hand, our bodies can only be in
present time because gravity sees to that by keeping our bodies firmly
on earth. As spirit when we stay with our body and with whatever it is
doing at the time, we can be more efficient at our jobs, communicate more
effectively with others, be more productive in our everyday activities
and have a more fulfilling experience with life. When we space out,
so to speak, or leave our body, we can become scattered, ungrounded,
perhaps stumble while walking, or even get dizzy or sick to our stomachs.
There are so many extenuating circumstances and distractions that pull
us away from being present with our bodies. But there are some really
good energy tools and techniques as well as clairvoyant readings available
that can aid us in keeping our communication with our bodies stabilized.
You can find these alternatives at the Spiritual Rights Foundation. Call
and ask for a body-being communication reading. You and your body will
love it!
