Body-Being
Communication
By Mike Kawahara
It's
always amazing to me how our bodies do exactly as our spirit desires.
I can choose to be happy, sad, angry or well. It's our body's way of giving
us as spirit exactly what we want. As a spirit in a human body you can't
help but to be happy. After all, it's your natural state since you are
made in the image and likeness of the Supreme Being. That sense of feeling
happy, healthy and whole in body, mind and soul is exactly what happens
when you as spirit are in communication with your body. Have you ever
had one of those days where you suddenly realize you forgot a lot of things
you had to do or just felt that you are running on automatic? Maybe you
just don't feel like yourself. That happens to me, more often than I care
to admit. I've had whole weeks that have gone by without me realizing
it. Then after stopping for a breath, I think to myself "Who was
that person, anyway?"I didn't know but it wasn't me. I, as spirit,
went away somewhere while my body ran on autopilot. No wonder weeks went
by like a blur.
I've always liked the idea
of body-being communication. But it took a while to understand what it
is all about. What is this concept of a spirit living in a human body?
I thought I was just a body and the spirit is something that didn't exist.
Not only that but if a spirit exists, how does something with no physical
form control a physical thing? Well, the best-kept secret is that you
are spirit and you are the one and only spirit who owns your body. Bodies
don't need all that much to be content, but they get really cranky if
they are not treated well. So as the owner, be nice to it. Wouldn't you
want to keep your home looking nice or your clothes clean? Your body likes
to have attention. The kind of attention that makes you say "aaahhh".
Like a nice hot bath or a relaxing massage. Maybe a nice, big sundae.
You are a generous and loving owner when you are able to give to your
body something nice. And your body will return to you exactly the experience
you tell it you want Ð exactly what you gave it. When was the last time
you did something that made you say "aaahhhhh"? I heard it said
that the body is the temple of the soul and I have always wanted to live
in a temple. Now that I know I have that, I can make it my own kindergarten
where I as spirit can enjoy being in a body and grow in ways I never thought
possible. I'd like to write more about this, but I've got the thought
of a hot fudge sundae in my mind and a nice, hot bath after that, so I'm
going out to do that now. I think I'm ready for a little peace, and a
little smile on my face. And my body just wants to give me exactly what
I want
