The Teachings Of Jesus

"For my yoke is
easy and my burden light.""
The Gospel of Matthew 11:30
Imagine this. You're doing what you love to do. Maybe you're
skipping and playing in a field, having a good time at work, cleaning
the house. It's not what you're doing that's important, it is the
fact that you are having fun and enjoying yourself.
Then someone comes along and asks you to carry their backpack for
them. You say yes, only to find out it's full of rocks. Pretty heavy,
but you take it anyways and continue on with your fun. Soon other
people are bringing you their things to carry, which are all very
heavy and cumbersome. Before you know it, you aren't having fun
anymore. The field doesn't seem so pretty, work is a real drag and
the house is a major chore.
The reason is obvious here - too many backpacks filled with rocks,
right? Yet how often does something similar to this happen to us in
our daily life? Well, if you aren't taking the time to ground, run
your energy and blow roses, it can happen a lot.
Whenever you take on energy from other people, your thoughts
change, your attitude alters and you might not be enjoying your life.
Work, family, school...everything becomes a heavy burden. It's called
not taking time out for you, to renew yourself. And you don't have to
go away on vacation to do it!
I recently experienced just this situation. Here I was, enjoying
myself, playing and having fun with all the different things I do,
when whammo! I woke up in the morning and had no picture in my head
that related to joy and enthusiasm. In fact, there was such a fog
bank in my mind, I couldn't find any pictures at all. But I did
experience fear, anxiety, the "how can I possibly do all the things I
need to do" syndrome. Sound familiar?
What did I do? Well, after feeling quite unbalanced and neurotic
for a little while I decided I was not in agreement with the
situation. This was not fun! So I sat down and grounded my body and
cleared out my psychic space. Then I went into trance, which is
simply going into my subconscious, and changed my thinking. I saw
that I had matched energy from many different people because I didn't
take enough quality time with myself. I imagined this: "What would it
feel like to match the Mind of Christ?" No effort, no trying to get
anywhere, I just played pretend.
Then I came to the Academy For Psychic Studies and had the
opportunity to do a psychic reading. Heaven!
That's when this verse popped into my mind. When I wander out of
alignment from the God of my Heart, the world crashes in like waves
in a storm. When I am in communion with the God of my heart is when I
carry the yoke of Christ. His yoke is my yoke you could say. This is
the state of constant renewal, regeneration and restoration. This is
when life is fun, no matter what is going on. This is kindergarten!
Then I realized that at any time my yoke feels too heavy, it isn't
mine - so I can take it off!
How about you? Are you ready for a lighter load? The Academy For
Psychic Studies offers great classes where you can release burdens
that don't belong to you. The only thing you have to pick up is the
telephone, so give us a call!
