Tithing:
Unchanging Law Of Prosperity
Tithing can be defined as the methodical giving of a specific portion of one's income. The method of giving tithes and offerings is ancient and is an essential ingredient to the recipe for prospering in life. It is as core to the spiritual life as flour is to a cake. Tithing is a universal law and its function is twofold. First, to ensure that there is an open channel for the Supreme Being to make contact with you in a down-to-earth and practical way; through how you handle your income. And secondly, to transform takers into givers. Now since you cannot outgive the giver, the only course of action left open is to become one with the giver. We do this through tithing. Awakening to Universal Law brings everything in life into a sharper focus. Colors are clearer. Relationships are more fulfilling. The Presence of the Creative Intelligence makes itself known to you in all sorts of unexpected ways. Financially, mentally, spiritually and physically. In short, the "windows of heaven" open up for you and uncountable blessings are yours to behold! The first step to banking with the Creator is called firstfruits. It is a recognition that the Supreme Being is the source of all supply. Your whole estate is God's gift to you. The children of Israel knew they were leaseholders on the land given to them, prospering only when they were doing things according to the Creator's plan. In Leviticus 23:10, He says, "Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest." This was the first step, bring the firstfruits to the priest, and they were to come with a specific attitude: In Deuteronomy 26:10 this attitude is spelled out: And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land, which thou, O LORD, hast given me. And thou shalt set it before the LORD thy God, and worship before the LORD thy God: In short, they were to always be in a state of worship, or deep and lasting appreciation towards the God of their heart. So let's say that the Supreme Being is awakening your body/personality right now to Himself within, and you are realizing a desire (desire means: of the Father) to do things according to spiritual law, here's what happens. And remember, this is all Him doing this, the Father within doeth the works, He doesn't even know you exist as a body/personality, there is only Himself. Take an inventory of everything you own. Cash, real estate, cars, all your belongings, etc. As you do this, rejoice and be thankful, appreciating all that the Supreme Being has blessed you with. You are really just letting His enthusiasm towards giving you a great life shine forth. Tally the fair market value of all you survey, take ten percent of that and bring it to the person or place that is educating you about tithes and offerings, in this case SRF, Inc. That is the first fruits offering. Remember, the Supreme Being always operates in the NOW. There is no waiting in the mind we call God. I can recall William Duby saying that the reason why people don't prosper is because they believe they can't afford it. Meaning they picture and feel all the ways and means of how it won't work, instead of how it will work. For example, some people give back prizes they receive on game shows because they don't want to pay the taxes on the prizes won. Well, some people block themselves from receiving, forgetting their true identity as limitless beings, because they don't want to tithe, forgetting they can't do it anyway--only the Supreme Being can do it! Each New Year the first check you receive is the first fruits of the New Year. This is just like the ancient Israelites did with each new harvest. If you are a salaried employee you bring one weeks worth of pay or 1/52 of your salary. In addition, each time you start a new venture, the first income from that venture is to be given as a first fruits offering. Any time you receive a pay raise, the portion of the check that first reflects that raise is to be given as a first fruits offering. Let me make this clear. This first income of anything belongs to the Supreme Being. Once the first fruits offering is delivered, tithing begins. Ten to thirty percent of your income is delivered as a tithe to the Supreme Being. Three times a year, the ancient Israelites went to Jerusalem to bring their tithes and offerings. The first tithe came from the 1/10 of the land that was tilled exclusively for the Supreme Being. The second and third tithes came from the ten percent of the rest of the land, the third tithe being used as traveling expenses for the three times a year that the Israelites went to Jerusalem. So for us, in a non-agrarian society, This means that 10-30 percent of all our income belongs to the Supreme Being. This is in addition to the first fruits offerings. What happens when we obey Universal Law? In Malachi 3:10 the Supreme Being states: "Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." Also He says in Exodus 23:20, regarding the firstfruits offering, "The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of the Lord thy God. ... Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared." The Supreme Being is showing us that to those who obey His law, all blessings are bestowed. In addition, it is written in many places that to those who do not obey His law, plagues and famine, in short unpleasantness of all sorts is what is in store. In Matthew 23:23 Jesus says, "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cumin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone." He is making it clear that it is our attitude towards spiritual law that needs correcting, not the mechanical process. When tithing, we are to attune ourselves, like a radio set, to our highest frequency, ONENESS WITH THE CREATOR! Enthusiasm, God within! Then with our awareness on His life force energy flowing through the body/personality we will exercise His qualities without any effort... justice, mercy, faith, which are the weightier matters of the law or His Love will flow through us like water from the mountains to the ocean. If your body/personality is putting up a struggle then you know that the Supreme Being is talking to you. Ask yourself this question, do you want to have an Angel before you, keeping you in the way, bringing you into the place which He has prepared for you? Do you want to experience the windows of heaven opening up and pouring you out a blessing which you cannot even conceive of? Well, it is really quite simple then. Remember, we are not here to defend God's law, it is self evident to those who practice it. If your body personality has trouble with the word law, then substitute love for it. Tithing is a Universal Love! This is the only place in scripture where the Creator says it is okay to test him, why not make the grand experiment and see what you've been missing. A few last items. Tithing is to be done in secret, it is a personal relationship between you and the God of your heart. Tithes and offerings are not tax deductible, or to put it more simply, it is not considered a tithe if you are claiming it as a tax deduction. Tithe on your gross income, not your net income, the Creator comes before Uncle Sam.

The Message of Tithing Hello! Enclosed is my first fruits and tithe offering. Many more to follow! I have been compelled lately to tithe, not knowing where to. I recalled your tithing article and ordered the tape. I let the tape sit around for a few weeks while I sent donations to the Red Cross, etc., which didn't sit right. So I watched my business plummet and decided to listen to your tape. I listened two times and got the message deeply. Voila! Business is better and I am grateful to you! The whole idea of prosperity begins with
there being no separation in Divine Mind. This energy and lifeforce is what you are
made of. The Supreme Being is the Sun, we are the sunshine, He is the Vine we are
the branches, there is no separation. We read this and can intellectually accept
this truth, but how do we actually come to fully realize and understand it? We do
this by putting spiritual practices into action which allow us to have a firsthand
experience of His life flowing through us as us. The Supreme Being is like a the
wise man of the village, who teaches by example and action and the way the Supreme
Being guarantees us having the experience of Him prospering us is through the act
of tithing.
