Tithing, The Golden Road To Prosperity

This is a beautiful and mathematically precise universe and it has physical, mental and spiritual laws, none of which are in conflict with each other. Universal law decrees that we experience a prosperous life when we live in harmony with that law which clearly states that it is your divine birthright to have the most prosperous and abundant life available.
I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. —John 10:10.
How do you go about experiencing this prosperous life? The answer is tithing. Tithing is the spiritual or religious practice of consecrating (setting apart as holy) a portion of one’s income as an act of worship.
And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed or the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s: it is holy unto the Lord —Levitticus 27:30.
It is a law that has its foundations in almost every spiritual practice, in every culture on this planet. Those people and societies who practice tithing prospered. People who tithe invariably find themselves free from financial difficulties as well as experiencing a greater sense of ease about how they handle their money.
Those who practice tithing, setting aside a tenth of their income, not with the motive of getting, but simply because they feel it is the right thing to do so — find that their prosperity increases by leaps and bounds until all fear of poverty disappears. Those who tithe because they are expecting a good investment, as a way of getting something, rather than with an attitude of true worship usually find that they are wasting their time, their energy and their money. It’s all in your attitude.

When we put our attention on God, through the act of worship known as tithing, we turn inwardly to where the deity lives inside us. We experience His presence more fully in every aspect of life. It is a spiritual principle: As above, so below — As within, so without. This act of tithing builds a relationship that helps us to realize that we are not separate from God. And like any relationship it requires participation and committment. The Creator is constantly radiating His prosperity and abundance, just like the sun is always shining in the heavens shedding its warmth and light. Most people don’t really take the time to even consider what it would be like to include God in every aspect of their lives, especially their financial life. Yet the children of Israel practiced tithing as a matter of course. It was as regular for them, as the practice many people today have of watching television, or going to the supermarket. It is up to us to examine ourselves and see, if we are really sincere about having this life with God, then learn to follow those spiritual laws which speak to us of His promise for prosperity in our lives.
Return to me and I will return to you saith the Lord of hosts.—Malachi 3:7.
Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in mine house, and test me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not pour out for you a blessing, that there shall not be room enought to receive it. —Malachi 3:10.

Honor the Lord with thy substance, and with the first fruits of thine increase: so shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst with new wine. —Proverbs 3:9-10.
The practice of tithing as Universal Law is the way to activate that God consciousness inside you. It is an extremely efficient act of Faith. If you practice tithing with the honest conviction that it is the right thing to do, that will be the proof of faith regardless of what your feelings may indicate at that moment.
Some people think that because they have challenging financial difficulties at the moment it is impossible for them to tithe, but as soon as things improve then they will begin. This misses the whole point. The greater the present need, the greater the necessity for tithing. For we know through the careful study of how spirit works, that the present difficulties can only be due to one’s mental and emotional attitude (most likely the subconscious) and that the outer circumstances cannot change until the inner believing changes. —Emmet Fox, The Magic of Tithing
Jesus stated how this inner and outer law works so clearly:
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you. —Matthew 6:33.
So that is tithing, the golden road to prosperity. I have done my part in educating you about how this universal law of abundance works. Now y0u must see within yourself if this is your wake up call to the abundant life that God has in store for you.
Many people seem to believe that the life and times of Jesus and the New Testament somehow negate the idea of tithing. Jesus only spoke about tithing once and that was to the religious hypocrites who had dire need of having their attitude corrected:
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. —Matthew 23:23.
It is my job as a minister to educate about God’s law. Tithing transforms you into a giver. At the heart of every religion is the idea of becoming a true giver, a sharer of light, a bearer of good tidings and good news to uplift those in need of healing. Oftentimes it is uncomfortable in this very secular day and age to even talk to people about the spiritual way to handle prosperity, but without including God in your finances you rob yourself of the opportunity to experience the total impact of His presence in every aspect of your life. It is a sacred function performed by the presence of divinity within you. Do you understand what that really means? It means that when you participate in tithing, you are allowing yourself to have direct contact with the Source, with the sacred presence within you.
