True
Prosperity, It Starts With A Thought
By Debi Livingston Growing
up, I was never taught about money. My parents didnt invest in the
stock market, didnt own real estate or even talk about savings accounts
in front of the kids. Dad worked two jobs and mom stayed at home. I knew
we werent rich, nor did it occur to me that we could be poor. We
just were, as were most of my other friends in the New England neighborhood
I called home.
For years I believed wealth and material goods were just an ocean away.
Knowing that my family had lived in Japan during the Korean War, I assumed
that whenever I asked mom for a pony, or a new bike, or the Barbie Dream
House and shed say Yes, you can have all that when our ship
comes in. I assumed there was a real ship still in Japan, loaded
with all these wonderful items that would some day come to Connecticut
and Id have everything I always wanted. When I told this to the
kids at school they thought I was nuts.
When I began studying metaphysics and mind science and started practicing
the techniques to manifest wealth and prosperity, I couldnt understand
why I kept running up against a brick wall. I was saying all the affirmations.
I believed all the affirmations. I knew I was a child of God and heir
to all His abundance. Then why was I always short on cash? Not until I
learned about the workings of my subconscious mind did I get the answer
to those questions.
The subconscious mind is the storehouse for everything that has ever happened
to us. Each emotional experience is imprinted within us and stored as
a belief; either positive or negative. And, these imprints are also derived
from the belief structure in which we were raised.
So even though I was saying affirmations to manifest wealth, my subconscious
mind was filled with years and years of believing the ship would never
come in, or that life was a game of Monopoly and people like us never
won, along with everything else I was submerged in as a child. You
have to work hard to earn a living; only lucky people are rich,
are all the things I was taught to believe. It was only when I learned
how to clean out my subconscious mind of this old way of thinking and
started focusing on what I truly yearned to experience, that true change
began to take place.
I discovered the importance of the power of imagination. The more I started
imagining what it would be like to have total prosperity in my life, and
dared to believe I could have these things, the faster the old beliefs
melted away. New images were being imprinted in my subconscious mind.
Can you have true prosperity? Yes, of course you can. You can have prosperity
and you dont have to fight for it to be yours. You can learn how
to clean out old beliefs and past time experiences that are stored in
the subconscious. You can recapture the power of your imagination and
imagine yourself as completely prosperous, be it financially, mentally,
spiritually or physically, right now.
You can start by spending five minutes a day thinking about what you want
to experience. If you want to be thin, spend five minutes, every day,
imaging yourself as being thin. If you want to attract more financial
abundance into your life stream, spend five minutes each day imagining
what you would do with your wealth, and how it would feel to be doing
those things. Do this, and you are beginning to create new imprints within
yourself.
A great book to help you succeed is The Magic of Believing by Claude M.

from your subconscious mind that may be blocking you to success, I invite

that has you believing otherwise is a lie.
