You all know the story of Sleeping Beauty; the beautiful princess has a spell cast
upon her by the wicked Queen, plunging her into a deep sleep for a hundred years.
Only the kiss from the Prince will awaken her. This is actually a story about trance.
One of the Grimm brothers met Mesmer, a French Hypnotist in the 1700’s, and with
Mesmer’s guidance and technique, went into a deep state of hypnotic sleep. He then
wrote about his experience in several fairy tales.
As I reflect upon this tale, I recognize that we are all “Sleeping Beauties,” male
and female alike. We are all in a certain trance state, waiting for someone to come
along and give us a magical kiss; the kiss of love, the kiss of prosperity, the kiss
of happiness. We have been told that “happily ever after” only exists in the form
of another person, giving to us or doing for us what we’ve been led to believe can’t
be done on our own.
We have an amazing capacity to convince ourselves we can’t make it. I know. I’ve
been wrestling with this saboteur within myself for many years. Yet there is a greater
story to be told. This is the tale of a Sleeping Beauty who is guided into a magical
kingdom.
Within this kingdom is the treasure, that being all the answers and solutions to
her soul. The kiss that awakens her is the vibration of Christ as her Higher Self
Image.
The kingdom she enters is the kingdom of heaven within the subconscious mind, where
the Spirit of Christ reigns as King. Here she remembers her true identity as spirit,
a child of the Supreme Being and heir to all He has. Her heavenly Father gives with
open arms everything that is His – eternal life, health, wealth and prosperity.
There is no such thing as lack and limitation. The beauty of this story, is everything
seen and experienced within this heavenly realm of the subconscious can be carried
forth into the conscious level of daily life.
I am having the experience. I am convinced you can too. This kingdom is within everyone.
To be there is as simple as moving aside curtains on a window to let in the light.
It’s only a decision away. And so it is. n
