Divine Prosperity
If you read this article, you are blessed. If you are inspired from within to take
action, you are more blessed. This is because it is truly the Supreme Being waking
within you, wanting to give you a new life based on His prosperity.
Tithing means one tenth. Tenth or tithe is symbolic for the remains of good and truth
which the Lord has kept for Himself. The process of tithing is giving 10-30% of your
gross income to the place where you receive your spiritual nourishment. This acknowledges
that all is given to us from the Supreme Being through whichever vehicle He chooses,
work, friends, family, unexpected gifts etc..
Giving ten to thirty percent back to Him through this process keeps the flow of life
moving. This is the only part in the Bible where the Supreme Being says to test Him
to see that by following this law your life gets better and better.
Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in mine house,
and test me now herewith, saith the Lord of Hosts, if I will not open for you the
windows of heaven, and pour out for you a blessing, that there shall not be room
enough to receive it. Malachi 3:10
The Law of tithing comes directly from the Bible. It is an instruction manual on
how to prosper in your life on earth just like when you buy a new car you read the
manual to see how to take care of it. Being inspired to start the tithing process
is really the Supreme Being within you coming alive and wanting to tithe.
The Supreme Being is the only one who can tithe because tithing is a sacred function,
He just uses your hands. This leads to having your financial life based on spiritual
principles such as faith, freeing you from being locked into fearful states of mind.
Honor thy Lord with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase
so that thy barns may be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with
new wine. —Proverbs 3:9-10
To begin the tithing process you perform first fruits. This is the action of taking
inventory of all that you have. This includes cars, furniture, houses, stocks bonds
etc. Then giving 10-30% of the worth of all this to the place that is educating you
about the tithing process. Tithing doesn’t begin until the first fruits are given.
First fruits cleanses your mind of past beliefs that do not acknowledge the Supreme
Being as the Source of all you have, bringing your awareness into present time. Now
you see that truly all you have gathered in your life up to that point has been given
by Him. Money is a symbol for your energy, it’s really just a monitor.
When we are happy and doing things we love, money seems to come easier. This is because
our life force energy is around us, we feel “together.” When we are miserable and
our energy is scattered like leaves blowing in the wind, financial ease may seem
a little tougher. For a simple piece of paper it holds a potent charge in the minds
of people.
Our concepts of money can be coated with misperceptions such as greed or avarice
like day old grease in a frying pan. The act of tithing causes the Supreme Beings
energy to flow through our psychical space, neutralizing learned and/or inherited
concepts on the mental image pictures regarding money.
For example, perhaps you were taught that it is spiritual to be poor. As the Supreme
Being’s energy flows through us in the act of tithing, this old concept would get
cleansed as the “windows of heaven” open up and you begin to receive unexpected blessings
in your life. In other words, your havingness, really His Havingness, increases in
your psychic space. You start enjoying life more and experiencing greater flow.
So from wherever you start, being poor financially or already a millionaire, it can
only enhance what you already have. Every man according as he purposeth in his
heart, so let him give, not grudgingly, or of necessity; for God loveth a cheerful
giver. —2 Corinthians 9:7 The last ingredient to tithing is attitude. The attitude
needed to tithe is the willingness to follow the law with your attention on Him doing
the tithing.
This is an attitude of sincerity and giving with no strings attached. Tithing is
not to show off to your neighbor how much you are giving. This is why Jesus made
such a strong statement against the scribes and Pharisees. Their attitude was 180°
opposite of where He knew the true spirit of giving is!
The Pharisees were such sticklers for details that they would cut one tenth off each
of their herb plants to tithe with, while people were not only in physical hunger,
but most importantly, spiritual hunger, and they were supposed to be leading the
way: Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint
and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice
and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone.
—Matthew 23:23
In other words, tithing is done by the Supreme Being, and He opens up the spirit
of giving inside you. He does the work. Tithing is a journey to a rapport with the
God of your heart. Each time the opportunity comes up to tithe it helps to take your
attention from focusing on what you don’t have to seeing all you have been given
and to be thankful.
