Tithing: The Perfect Investment

If you have ever wished that you could find the perfect investment that was guaranteed to prosper you, then the law of tithing is just what you have been looking for. This law, set forth by the Supreme Being, is designed to link you up with Universal flow so that not only are your needs met, but you can prosper beyond your wildest dreams.

Tithing means one tenth. The law of tithing simply states that you are to give 10%-30% of all that you receive to the place that taught you the law of tithing and is thereby providing you with the spiritual nourishment that can guide you to a better life.

All that you receive includes your time, energy and money. By giving 10%-30% you are acknowledging that the Supreme Being is the source of your supply, and are saying hello to His vibration to keep that connection alive within you. As a by-product of this you begin to prosper immensely.

When you begin the path to prosperity as outlined in the bible the first step begins with firstfruit offerings. Firstfruits involves taking an inventory at everything you have been given in your life, your home, cars, clothing, income, etc., making a tally of the net worth of all of these gifts, and then giving an offering of 10%-30% of that net value. This opens the doorway to begin tithing by bringing your investment account with the Supreme Being up to date, so to speak. It clears the slate so you can begin a whole new life in Christ.

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them. When ye are come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest therof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest unto the priest.

-Lev. 23:10

Once the firstfruits offering has been given, the process of tithing begins. The main premise behind tithing is the recognition that it is the Supreme Being tithing through you. You can't tithe. In other words, if you approach tithing with the attitude that it is you doing it, then you have missed the message, because in taking this attitude you are saying that you are separate from the Supreme Being. There is only one mind, His. To believe otherwise is to be living an illusion.

And all the tithes of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord's. It is holy to the Lord. -Lev. 27:30

Once the process of tithing has begun, from this point on every time you receive a financial increase, such as a paycheck, you allow the Supreme Being to work through you and give 10%-30% of it back to a person or place He has chosen to be the recipient of His tithes. Again, this is the place that He has chosen to awaken you to His truth. Once the tithes are in the hands of this person or place they are no longer your concern. They are the Supreme Being's to do with what He wants.

In addition to tithing on your income, every New Year the first check that you receive is given as the firstfruits of the New Year. If you receive only one paycheck for the month then you bring one weeks worth of pay as your offering each New Year.

If you find yourself questioning this right now, realize that tithing is a universal law. In other words, it comes as a direct dictate from the Supreme Being. And it is the one place in the Bible where the Supreme Being actually tells you to test Him.

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. -Mal. 3-10.

Now please go back and read that statement again. Really hear what it is saying. Listen to its commanding nature. Hear the promise it is offering. Are you ready to turn your life over to the Supreme Being? Obviously you are or you wouldn't be reading this article right now. There are no accidents in the universe.

Financial prosperity is only one of the many by-products of tithing. There are many other increases that come along with tithing. One is increased awareness. Tithing opens the door for new ideas to flow in, for you to begin to see things from a new perspective. As you link up with the universal mind bright ideas that are designed to prosper you appear from out of what seems to be nowhere. In truth they are from the Supreme Being.

Tithing also brings to your awareness the kinds of attitudes you might have been holding that are not really serving your highest good. You may be going through the motions of tithing but not putting your attention on the Supreme Being when you do, doing it without taking in to consideration His attitude toward life. Tithing will begin to reveal these things to you and thereby helps you to discover where you are truly at with the Supreme Being.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cumin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy and faith; these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. -Mat. 23:23.

As this passage demonstrates there is an attitude, His attitude, that must be active within us when He tithes through us. If we don't allow that attitude to be in us then we are not truly allowing His will to be done.

The Supreme Being wants us to live the good life. Tithing is designed to prosper us financially, mentally, spiritually and physically. In other words, when we step aside to let His life flow through us we develop new attitudes towards ourselves and others that are founded upon wholesome principles of faith, charity and love toward the neighbor. A whole new life opens up for us that is our heavenly estate to live in for eternity.
