The Healing Power of SpiritBy Cathleen HodgsonWell quite a bit has happened around here since the last issue of the American Spirit Newspaper came out. To start with, a month or so ago, Rev. Bill became seriously ill. To make a long story short he went to the hospital and was diagnosed with type I (insulin dependent) diabetes. His blood sugar reading was 1,050 (yes, 1,050 - this is not a typographical error) when he went into the emergency room of the hospital. Needless to say, the doctors were amazed that he wasn't in a diabetic coma much less that h e could survive a 1,050 blood sugar level.
What really amazed me though is that after a few days in the hospital he was home again healing people. Rev. Bill is a highly aware individual. He noticed a few people around him had the symptoms of hyperglycemia - extreme thirst, frequent urination, dry skin, hunger, blurred vision, drowsiness and nausea. And, to make things more interesting, there were a few displaying symptoms of hypoglycemia - shaking, fast heartbeat, sweating, anxious, dizziness, hunger, impaired vision, headaches and irritability. Wit h that in mind, he asked a few people to test their blood sugar levels with a glucometer. It was amazing how many had blood sugar imbalances and sadly enough had taken it all as being normal. Rev. Bill had said many times in the past that whatever work you do on the spiritual level the remainder of the work must be done on the physical level. In the case of Rev. Bill, he had worked diligently over the last couple of decades to discover and remedy what he had inherited in the body as genetic programming. Once he was diagnosed with type I (inherited) diabetes it became clear what he had to do; namely, de-energize the mental image pictures in his genetic memory banks. And that's exactly what he di d. Within two weeks he went from being a type I diabetic that would be insulin dependent the rest of his life to taking two pills a day. In other words, he astounded medical science. Upon returning home from the hospital he was to take two insulin shots a day. Each shot was 20 units. Within two weeks his insulin intake dropped to 14 units twice a day. Two weeks later it had dropped from 14 to 12 to 8 to 6 to 4. And now he is not insulin independent. Furthermore, his blood sugar levels in his latest blood te st was normal. His recovery is a living testimony to the healing powers within us all. This whole incident really opened up our minds to a whole new vista. It compelled us to look at spirituality in a different light, in a practical way. We were faced with the truth that we needed to take a look at what was passed down to us on a genetic level of reality. Rev. Bill was faced with the fact that he inherited type I diabetes. Likewise, we inherited some cache of genetic patterns that needs healing the same as did Rev. Bill. We all have such pictures (energies) to deal with, whether it is genetic insanity, forms of physical disease, etc. As spirit we have the psychic ability to access and heal these pictures. It was a healing for myself because I saw that a lot of what I have been going through was a result of genetic programming. Have a great life, I am! Copyright © 1996 Sterling Rose Press, Inc.

The normal level of blood sugar is between 80 and 120. It is strongly recommended by Novo Nordisk Pharmaceuticals that if your blood sugar is over 250 you immediately call your doctor. So, you can now imagine how startled the doctors and nurses were to see a man walk in with a blood sugar level of 1,050.
