Its Not Hard To Swallow
By Mitzie Engstrom
We all desire optimum health and vitality,
which begins with proper nutrition. Most of us today are suffering
from certain nutritional deficiencies which cannot be remedied from
the foods we eat. No matter how much we eat, our fruits, vegetables
and grains no longer contain the minerals our bodies must have in
order to survive. Therefore, we are starving ourselves due to our
depleted soils.
For decades, doctors, nutritionists and scientists have been
working on the problem of vitamin absorption. Proper absorption
depends upon solubility. Solid forms, such as pills or capsules, need
to be consumed in larger dosages in order for the body to pull what
it needs and eliminate the excess, such as binders and fillers.
Binders and fillers include such chemicals as gelatin extracted
from animal hooves, stearates and tallow from animal fat, starches
and silicates, as well as the coating containing waxes and shellacs.
How can we receive a higher blood concentration yet avoid the
taxation of our bodies gastrointestinal tract as well as our kidneys?
An alternative solution with a unique delivery system has been
introduced and it's not hard to swallow - oral absorption.
The concept of oral absorption is quite simple to explain. When
micro-sized droplets of a drug or nutrient are delivered directly
into the blood stream they become bio-available within seconds
through the highly absorbent boucle mucous tissue which is the lining
of your mouth. When medication or nutrients are metered and sprayed
over the entire surface of the mouth, oral absorption is rapidly
administered.
Charts provided in the well-known and prestigious Physician's Desk
Reference (for 1997 editions refer to page 676 in the volume devoted
to non-prescription drugs), indicate the amount of nutrients absorbed
is substantially higher than with regular pills. Boucle absorption
has been found to provide the fastest and most efficient method of
application for most drugs and nutrients tested, with the exception
that invasive intravenous injection is faster in some cases.
Oral sprays are the answer to eliminating the "peaks and valleys"
that can be associated with vitamin pills. At the peak, when a pill
begins to dissolve, too much nutrient may be released into the
system. As time goes by the body experiences a valley when there is
too little nutrient available. If the tablet dissolves too rapidly,
many nutrients may be washed out in the urine during the peak phase.
Boucle absorption allows for a much more precise administration of a
drug or nutrient when periodically sprayed, compared to ingestion.
The result is less wastage and more useful concentrations available,
relieving the burden placed on the liver and kidneys.
Here's a simple test you can do: Place your pill or gel cap in a
glass with enough white vinegar to cover it. If it doesn't clearly
dissolve in 15 minutes, your absorption level will be less than 5
percent, and what's left floating on top will be the binders and
fillers.
