Consider the lilies how they grow: they
toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all
his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then, God so clothe
the grass, which is today in the field, and tomorrow cast into the
oven; how much more will He clothe you, O ye of little
faith?
&emdash;The Gospel of Luke:
12:27-28
The holidays are upon us. Have you taken a
moment to stop and count your blessings for everything you have in
your life? To bless is to give thanks, to energize and to celebrate.
Why don't you do that right now? I'm sure that when you are
finished, you'll be amazed and realize you have more than you
previously assumed. Need some help getting started? No problem.
How about your body? Even if it's not in "perfect" condition, it
is still your temple. Go ahead, say it now, "God Bless my body." If
you feel real inspired you can even bless each part of your body.
Next....people in your life. Yep, God bless them too, because on
some level, if they are a part of your life, there must be an
agreement. Do you have a roof over your head? Then "God Bless the
roof over my head...God Bless my home." You can go on and on, but
don't forget a thing; your mode of transportation, any amounts of
money you have, no matter how large or small, your job, the job you
hope to get soon, the list is practically endless. Yes, even if you
are more unfortunate and have no permanent home, or even if you are
"homeless," there are still things in your life for which you can
give thanks.
What I have learned, is that no matter how bad things appear, once
I start blessing everything, my attitude changes. I'm focused once
again on the positive, and actually feel different in my body and
energy vibration. Try it - you'll feel the switch in your own space.
So if you find yourself getting impatient in the check-out line,
cursing the traffic on the highway...stop, take a deep breath, and
give thanks for something. Life is too short to live it in a frenzy,
don't you agree?
I believe, and my trance experiences have validated my belief,
that this is what Jesus is attempting to share with us in these two
verses. If we simply shift our attention from the chaos that spins in
the world around us, and focus within, miracles do happen. You can
clean out the thinking that has you frantic and living just to
survive, and learn how to accept the abundant lifestyle the Supreme
Being is waiting for you to enjoy. I mean, when you get right down to
it, why would the Creator create a world of misery and effort? It
really makes no sense at all. Think it - and you will experience it.
The choice is yours as to what you want to think.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and God Bless each and everyone of
you who are reading this today. Amen.
