Hypnotherapy
sessions can be extremely beneficial in helping to resolve problems,
alleviate phobias and release fears. Your subconscious mind is
the storehouse of memory for everything that has ever happened
to you; it's been like a video camera, constantly recording situations
and events, not just in sight and sound, but also in smell, tactile
experiences and emotions. On a conscious level we don't remember
every incident and nuance in our life, but these are all stored
within the subconscious mind.
If you
were to picture your subconscious mind as a filing cabinet, it
would be filled with many situations and experiences you've had.
With each incident there was a certain level of emotional impact
or intensity that came along with it. Let me explain.
To keep
it simple, let's say your emotional files went from one to ten
>one being the least amount of emotions, ten being the
highest. Now let's say you had an experience when you were a kid
- your bike was stolen! Maybe that qualified as an eight on the
emotional Richter scale, so it was filed, in your subconscious
mind, as an eight. The same will be true for all the other experiences
you have, be they positive or negative, they will all go in the
appropriate "emotional file."
This doesn't
mean that for each experience you go through, another emotional
file is created. It means that all situations that rate the same
level of emotional response are filed in that particular folder.
For example, you are no longer a kid and you've long forgotten
about your bike being stolen. You're on vacation and you discover
you wallet is missing. The emotional impact is right up there
as it was with the bike incident, so your subconscious mind places
the situation in the number eight folder. See?
This is
why utilizing the power of hypnosis to resolve issues in your
life is so effective. When the subconscious mind is directed to
find the source of the problem, it will retrieve the precise information
as to what is causing the current situation in your life. If you
want to know why you have such a fear of driving over bridges,
your subconscious mind is going to go to the initial source, which
is stored in one of those emotional files! Release that one, and
with the proper directions, you can empty out all the other situations
that were logged in with the same emotional intensity.
This is
a highly effective way to help solve problems and release painful
experiences from the past so you can live your life to the fullest,
filled with confidence and certainty, focused on what you want
to experience in the here and now, rather than be effected by
