The Golden Pool

Below a shady tree I found myself asleep, and in my imaginings I found two little girls beside me telling me to wake up. I opened my eyes and said, "Hello" and they said, "Hello to you too. Come, we will show you the way to the golden pools. In them you can swim all day."

I took their hands and on our way we came to an orchard with a huge gate. "In here you will see the biggest fruits you've ever seen." In wonderment I found hundreds of apple trees, pear trees, lemon trees, apricot trees, fig trees... every kind of tree. "Pick one" they said. So in picking of an apple tree I found a tag on it's stem and there was inscribed, "Fruit of health, fruit of wealth, fruit of happiness, each bite be sweeter than the last." "Go on now and eat it." And as I took a bite I felt a heat go through my body and a sound of a bell ringing in my ears. And some how I began to think of all the things I have and how good and strong I felt, and how glad and happy I am. And the more I ate of it the better I felt. Then they said, "Come now, lets run to the golden pools. If you think this is good you've got to try the pools."

Hand in hand I ran with the two girls through the trees as a fire rushed through me. In a clearing there was a great pool and its color was golden. The vegetation around it was miraculous, with ferns, trees and rose bushes. What a smell... fresh, clean and clear. "Go and take off those old things" they said. In doing so I put a toe in the warm water. Then my right foot. Oh, so soft and velvety. Then I jumped in splashing all about with my friends. Through the laughter I exclaimed, "Lovely!" And off we went again. We created such a stir that birds came to perch and see what all the fun was about.

After a while we became still and got emerged in the golden pools of water. Then one of the girls whispered to me, "In here you find your comfort. The Good Lord takes away all that is not fit to be with us and in its place He fills us with His Golden Essence. He embraces us with the song of Spirit, a song of kindness and peace. The song helps us forgive and it gives life and new inspiration to us. He sings it with every ounce of passion that He is. In this is the power to tear down any walls."

Too soon it seemed I knew I had to come back and I bade my friends farewell. But I was not sad for I knew I could take this heavenly feeling with me through my days and through my nights, and that I could always return. And the song of Spirit I will always carry in my heart.
