Tithing:
How many of us have thought of wealth in this way? Wealth...an urge for service!!!
A capacity to give to mankind!!!! WOW! Usually we equate wealth with lots of money
and power. Very few of us see it as giving. We see it as accumulating instead. True
wealth goes far deeper than having a pile of money. True wealth is having a well
rounded, fulfilling lifestyle that includes If we would only come to one very simple realization, our mind could do a much needed flip so we could become our higher selves, the one we always wish we could be, attain a deeper understanding of our lives and live a more satisfying lifestyle. "Everything in the universe belongs to God, and though all things are for the use and enjoyment of man, he can possess nothing selfishly. When man learns that a higher law than human custom and desire is working in the earth to bring about justice, righteousness, and equalization, he will begin to obey that law by tithing, loving his neighbor, and doing unto others as he would have them do unto him. Then man will reach the end of all the troubles brought upon himself by his selfishness and greed, and will become healthy, prosperous and happy." (2)

Herein lies the healing...knowing that we do nothing by ourselves, that it is the Supreme Being within us as us doing the works, moving our hands, chewing our food, holding a loved one, singing a song. There is indeed a Supreme Genius at work behind the scenes providing all the learning lessons we need, to achieve the goals that would make us not just happy, but better people, with more wholesome values that we could teach to our children and pass on to the generations coming after us and to take with us as a psychologically mature spiritual being when we leave our earthly bodies for our celestial ones. The Supreme Being knows human nature , and that we forget where we came from before we were living in these bodies. He knows how easy it is to fall into believing we are just bodies rather that spirits, or the consciousness living in these bodies, because the pull of the earth realm that we entered into is very strong. The Tithing law is designed for us to remember. It is His memory within us that is who we are. It (the Law from Him, the Supreme Being) provides the incentive, the means and the reward, for those of us who are willing to hear, for those who have faith that their needs will be taken care of, and for those who will follow the law exactly. Tithing is a spiritual law and just as you would follow state or city laws regarding driving and taxes, spiritual law is to be followed in the same way. The law states that the tithe is one tenth of your gross earnings and it is to be given to the place or person who has awakened the spirit of the law within you. When the spirit to tithe comes upon you, you know that it comes from deep within your heart to give all credit to the One who gave you His Life. When you relinquish all need to take credit for any success you experience, you know you've come home to your body. The law itself is very simple. You begin by giving first fruits. How this works is you come up with a dollar amount for all material possessions you own, including property, furniture, automobiles, appliances, clothes, stocks, bonds, money, bank accounts, credit cards, jewelry, businesses...everything you own. Then take ten percent of that amount and give it to the place or person who awakened you to this law. You have now allowed the Supreme Being's Presence within you to come alive because only He can be the one giving. You cannot outgive Him. From then on you give ten to thirty percent of your gross pay when you receive it to the same place or person. Now you have handed over your prosperity to the Supreme Being and you don't have to do anything else but have a good time doing what you love doing! No longer do you have to worry about money. He will take care of it. Trust in Him.
Tithing is the healing, it is the reward. It means you are no longer headed in a direction that is detrimental to your health and welfare. Since money represents your energy, it means that you are now unblocking the flow of energy through your energy channels so that life and love can now flow through your body and the joy of being alive can begin to radiate from every pore in your skin. It is stated in the Bible that when you give, give in secret. No need to shout it from the rooftops. It is to be a quiet communion between you and the God of your heart. Keep it within and keep the healing. There is one more important aspect to tithing. Your attitude! If you're giving but complaining about lack of money in your life, you are not following the law correctly. This is where your faith in action comes in. Do it, be quiet about it, have faith and be joyous. If you are not joyous in your giving then it is not coming from the God of your heart. You are doing it to be good or to gain approval or with some other attitude that has nothing to do with the Supreme Being's attitude.
The Supreme Genius of the Supreme Being is that He designed a law that would help us to have a more meaningful life so that His Life would be glorified on earth by our expression of His love through us being totally ourselves and prospering beyond our wildest imagination. The question you need to ask yourself is...Can you have it??...Can you have total prosperity??... The next time you are in the dark depths of despair worrying about the flow of money in your life, remember this article, pick up a pen and write a check and give it to the place or person who helped you remember that there is something else far more profound and bigger than the material world of people, places and conditions that you see every day. a healthy body, a well balanced mental frame of mind, a positive attitude, nourishing
relationships and spending our time doing whatever it is that we love doing. Unfortunately,
most of us have been brought up to believe that we have to work hard to survive and
herein lies our deepest misperception. We try to acquire money rather than the attitude
necessary to receive it effortlessly and the frame of mind to use it correctly as
a servant of the Supreme Being on earth. Because we have been taught to look outside
ourselves for satisfaction and gratification, we have acquired an insatiable need
to earn this money to keep up with a lifestyle created by others and we succumb to
the lower, darker levels of our personalities entertaining thoughts of avarice, greed,
selfishness, fear and anger in order to keep up with the proverbial Joneses.
