We live in a world full of wonder and infinite possibilities. Billions
of people share life on planet earth. But most people aren’t
able to enjoy the beautiful world we live in, and experience life
to it’s full potential. Each of our individual lives may be
peaceful or may be stressful. But it’s probably safe to say
that most people reading this article have some level of stress in
their lives, and would like to take a break from time to time.
Stress can come in many forms. You may experience stress in your job,
school, family, relationships, and other areas of your life. If we
don’t release stress, the build up of energy can cause us to
feel overloaded, overwhelmed, irritated, bored, to have a negative
view of life, and even cause physical issues in our bodies.
Taking time off from the regular routine is something that is needed
by all. But how often do we really, truly, get to refresh and regenerate
both our minds and our bodies? In this article I’m going to
be taking a look at vacations and why they’re not always going
to allow you to disconnect and give you the “rest” you
are looking for. I’ll also be sharing how a well structured
retreat is the life-changing oasis you’ve been looking for.
We all yearn for vacations. It’s what we’ve been taught
by society is the “way” to experience a break from
our usual day to day routine and experience more of the world. If
planned well, a vacation can offer much needed relief. However, quite
often a vacation can cause more stress than relief.
You may be asking, “Why”? Well, it’s because a common
vacation doesn’t really allow you to disconnect from the world.
Vacation stress can start with planning a loaded itinerary that doesn’t
give you time to relax, and worrying about how much money it will
cost (or regretting it aftewards). Perhaps your friends or family
members invited you to go with them on vacation. Is that vacation
really going to be yours and give you a chance to disconnect? Are
you free to just be yourself and let go of all cares of the world?
You may be off of work, in a different geographical location, but
still experiencing many of the same stresses that you were seeking
to escape from.
Now lets talk about retreats. A retreat is usually a structured period
of time that is designed for one purpose. And that purpose is, to
retreat from the fast pace of the world, experience a release of stress,
and renew yourself on many levels.
At the Spiritual Rights Foundation, Inc. we have refined the art of
“healing” retreats. A retreat to truly rejuvenate your
body, mind and soul includes a few key components. Location is important.
Nature is ideal because by being in nature your body and mind naturally
start to relax and release the stress of the world. A structured retreat
in the city can also offer many of the same theraputic benefits.
All of our retreats include guided meditations and relaxation sessions
to release stress in the mind and body. Because SRF is based on the
study of psychic energy, we offer energy healings as an extra benefit
to help release foreign (other people’s) energy from your aura,
and understand some of the changes you may be going through as part
of the healing retreat experience.
A great food menu and an on-site masseuse are standard offerings.
Spa facilities are available in our city retreat space, and nature
walks are a bonus in our mountain and ocean retreat sites. You’ll
be in the company of others of like mind and good fellowship.
Most importantly, you will have truly given to yourself. You’ll
return to your life with a renewed and healed perspective; body and
mind refreshed and rejuvenated.
Now, doesn’t that sound good? Come give yourself a healing retreat!
We offer retreats once a month at our retreat spaces in Northern California.
