The
Connection of Body, Mind & Spirit
With Hypnosis
By Debi Livingston,

One
of the first things an individual learns when they come to our spiritual
kindergarten school is that they are not just the physical body, but they
are a spirit; the living consciousness that gives the body its life
and animation.
When people hear this, they usually tend to agree and accept the information.
Then why dont we already know this - why do we have to be reminded?
We, a humanity on the whole, have forgotten this information. We are born
into a state of forgetfulness. We are asleep to our spiritual identity.
Let me give you the example my teacher always used to better explain this
concept.
When an actor goes to Hollywood to be in a movie, they are given a script
about the character they will portray. The character has a certain type
of personality and the movie has a storyboard about the characters
life.
When an actor really gets involved in their role and believes they are
that person for the duration of the filming, they usually win the Oscar.
We all believed they were the character as well; we temporarily forgot
we were watching an actor playing a part.
When you were born you were given a role to play. The characters
name was whatever mom and dad named you. The storyboard you were given
about this character is the life you grew up in: Your name is John. You
are Catholic. You will grow-up to be a doctor, marry and have three kids,
etc. See the correlation?
All the information about your life storyboard went into your
subconscious mind, the storehouse of memory of all the things youve
ever done in your life. This became the foundation of who and what you
believe you are. When you became an adult and attempted to create a change
or do something that went against the information, is when you experienced
effort, guilt, failure and the like.
These issues of guilt, effort or failure can also manifest as a physical
problem in your body. Maybe youre overweight, or have chronic pain
or suffer from insomnia, to give just a few examples.
All healing is awakening to who you are - and when you tap into your true
power within is when you can effectively create positive, permanent change
in your life. This is where utilizing hypnosis to experience the connection
of your body, mind and spirit comes into play.
The word hypnosis is derived from the Greek word hypnos which
means sleep. When you are in hypnosis you are not sleeping like when you
go to bed at night. You are in a mentally and physically relaxed state,
yet totally alert and aware of whats going on around you.
Through hypnosis you are able to effortlessly by-pass the critical factor
of your conscious mind, which is the storyboard of your life
I talked about earlier. Now youve altered consciousness and can
change your perspective to create a positive change. When properly guided
with a facilitator, you can rise above the belief that says youre
just a body, and get in touch with who you are as spirit. This is when
you can really learn how to use your mind to keep yourself well. You realize
you have power to choose the type of thinking you want to entertain which
brings forth health and well being, financially, mentally, spiritually
and physically.
When you awaken to who you are as spirit is when you move out of the hypnosis
that says you are just a body. Utilizing the science of hypnosis to spiritually
awaken is akin to being bitten by one snake and getting snake serum in
the hospital to heal you. See?
Id like to end this article with a quote from my teacher, Rev. Bill
Duby, who knew and understood more than anyone I know, how hypnosis can
help connect you in body, mind and soul.
Utilizing hypnosis is a spiritual, holy, activity, and it
is clear that the ancient High Priests knew more about the workings of
its psychic power than any modern man. These clergymen were sages
with discerning power who knew that lasting results in healing would never
happen, as long as you were working from flesh to spirit. This is why
hypnosis is often a hit and miss operation for those who try
and work this ancient healing science from a humanistic viewpoint
man is a metaphysical human being even though he is embodied within the
physical Homo Sapien animal. All healing stems from awakening to who you
are, and what you are going to do in consciousness to maintain your well
being of prosperity on a financial, mental, spiritual and physical level
of reality forevermore.
