 Okay,
I’m here to talk about money. Your money. Well actually not your
money, but God’s money. God’s money? What’s that got to
do with me, you may be asking? Everything, to be truthful. Did you know
that God is the source of your supply for every single area of your life?
That means money, job, food, shelter, mental well-being, the parking space
you desperately needed to not be late to that meeting....well, you get
the point.
It is said that money is man’s only invention. Money is a representation
of your energy. You get paid for your time and energy. In olden times,
people would pay for things with the crops they grew or livestock or things
they made. But money is how we buy our necessities in the modern age.
If you look at what you spend your money on, it gives you a good idea
of what’s important to you.
How about energizing the presence of God in your life? You can also call
it energizing your spiritual life. That’s what tithing is all about.
Tithe literally means tenth. Tithing is giving a tenth of what you receive
each month to the person or place that is energizing God’s presence
in your life by teaching you about the law of tithing. By tithing, you
energize God’s presence in your life. It is an investment in your
spiritual life; it is a built-in opportunity to stop and count your blessings
for everything you’ve received. It is a built-in opportunity to see
how much you are given every single day. Tithing is a celebration of abundance;
it helps you look at your cup as half full instead of half empty.
Tithing gives you such great opportunities, such as cleansing your mind
of limiting beliefs concerning prosperity. The blessings tithing brings
truly are limitless. They can take many forms besides financial. They
can be a release of fear, an increase in self-confidence, great ideas
for a business, right contacts with right people...the list is endless.
God starts prospering you where you need it the most. Maybe you need an
attitude adjustment before you could handle more success in your life.
Maybe you have a very painful past that is weighing you down. Tithing
helps release whatever the blocks are that may be limiting you. Your Heavenly
Father knows exactly what you need and cannot wait to give it to you.
