The Power of Faithing

    There are so many things I could write about that I have experienced in my 16 year association with the Spiritual Rights Foundation. I chose one of the most recent of my experiences which has to do with Tithing and First Fruits.

First Fruits is a spiritual process connected to tithing that puts faith into action when one realizes the Supreme Being is the Source of his supply. I came to know that the power, glory and full potential of that Heavenly Spirit is within me as the very life force of my soul nature. With this is mind I concluded that my Source of supply lies within, rather than without. I used to think that the source of my supply was my job, mate, parent or anything else in the world.

    I have been a tither for many years, placing the tithes at SRF where I learned about this spiritual process. Over the years, many lessons regarding how I use the money I receive, which represents my energy, were revealed to me. Some were painful lessons. It didn't have to be that way but I chose to think that I learn slowly.
Even when it didn't seem that I was gaining financially I was aware that I was learning about the spiritual significance of so many things I took for granted in my life.

    At the beginning of each year First Fruits are offered, and this involves giving the entire first financial increase of the year (e.g. your first paycheck). This year I decided to put the whole first of the year check in all at once rather than put it in in two or three payments, like I have done in the past. This wreaked havoc in the core of my system. How was I going to pay rent? How was I going to eat? I live from paycheck to paycheck.

    As always, the Supreme Being stepped in and took the problem right out of my hands. Right at the end of the year I was given a check which would normally have arrived at the first of the year, and this money paid all of the first of the month bills. The next check, which arrived right after the New Year, was easy to give because my commitments were taken care of.

    Two weeks later I received my credit card statement and they raised my credit line. I had tried to get it raised not too long ago, but was refused. A small but meaningful increase for me. I have also been doing more hypnotherapy sessions with clients lately.

    Although there are ups and downs during periods of growth, and changes that are sometimes difficult to pass through, I have always been, and always will be, grateful to be involved at a place where there are endless opportunities to learn and grow.Ê
