Springtime is LivertimeBy Nancy GrundyLiver problems often manifest or flare up in the spring time. Congestion in the liver leads to irritability and depression in which one is easily angered and frustrated. It can also cause difficulty in handling hormonal fluctuations as well as headaches, eye problems, allergies, and insomnia in the wee hours of the morning. The liver is the largest, the most complex and one of the most constantly active endocrine glands in your body. When you consider the vast number of ailments in which the liver is involved, you will realize how important it is to know how the body functions. Some of the most commonly known ailments and discomforts resulting from liver trouble are constipation, diarrhea, hemorrhoids, gallstones, jaundice, diabetes, depression, drowsiness, nausea, mental strain, abscesses, warts, sclerosis of the liver just to name a few. When all is said and done, the liver carries the brunt of man's negligence in failing to eat the best possible kind of quality nourishment. You are the one who suffers if the liver is unable to operate at maximum efficiency. Energy is the most vital and essential element to maintain the body in proper balance enabling one to live efficiently. When the body requires energy it obtains it from oxidation of the fats stored in the liver. The liver works very hard for your system. The liver is very affected by alcohol and nicotine, by too much fried or fatty foods or oil or grease and by too much starch and sugar foods. Fresh juices of carrots, beets, cucumbers, are the best basic liver food ingredients. Honey is also good. Here are a few easy ways to assist
your liver:
Do walking meditations such as this one: Go for a walk. Each time you take a step say something positive to yourself, either silently or out loud. Start to notice the beauty (colors especially) all around you. Or say something to yourself like, I"'m getting better and better every day in every way" or "I'm a divine perfect spiritual being." Consider taking a "super food", like blue green algae for clearing your liver, boosting your immune system, decreasing sugar cravings and increasing energy.Ê Editor's note: Sterling Rose Press, Inc. does not give medical advice, if you have questions about concerning your health, consult your health care professional.
