Taking A Look At Giving
By Roseanna Gurst
Why
is giving so important? What is it about the vibration of love
that has such a positive effect on us? In the Bible we are told
to love our neighbor as our self and to be our brothers
keeper. We constantly hear sayings such as, Shalom
or Peace be with you, and even the word Hello
means stay happy and all whole. What do all these have in common?
They are all ways of giving or demonstrating love for another.
In todays world we see so little of genuine giving and loving,
yet we need it more today than ever. The world today is in chaos.
People are being persecuted all over the world for various issues,
be it their sex, sexual preference or political or religious beliefs.
With the world the way it is we need to be giving and loving more
than ever, yet we seem to have become anesthetized instead and
negativity abounds.
Love is a very powerful healing vibration that can neutralize
negativity in an instant.
Love leaves one to experience being happy, healthy, wealthy and
whole in body mind and soul. In the past, it has been a concept
left to religion, metaphysics and spirituality. Recently, however,
the scientific community has acknowledged the healing power of
the vibration of love. Doctors and other healing professionals,
more than ever, are embracing the idea that holding loving ideas,
thoughts and feelings in mind actually utilize a certain part
of the brain that corresponds with positive behavior, and that
this, in turn, releases chemicals that promote health and happiness
in ones life. The further consequences of health and happiness
for the individual include the promotion of better communities
and, in the long run, a better world for us all.
In this issue of the American Spirit Newspaper you will find different
articles about giving and the love vibration. In every issue of
the American Spirit we highlight one of Rev. William Dubys
past articles. In this issue we have chosen to highlight one of
his most favored articles, entitled, The Kinder garden Way. In
this article he speaks of truly being your brothers keeper
by giving back to another where you yourself have been given to.
This concept keeps love flowing in our lives, giving us a wholesome
attitude in all that we do, and causes us to realize that through
a charitable heart we can experience love, which heals and binds
us as one. This moving article points to the attitude one needs
to have when giving and leaves you asking yourself the question,
Is my heart in the right place when I give? In Giving:
The Love Vibration, by Kathy Bibeau, you will discover why giving
is so effective for health and well being. And this month we have
included an article on, Pet Readings, a topic that is becoming
popular among the mainstream media lately.
It is our hope that you will receive a healing reading this issue
of the American Spirit Newspaper. Perhaps it will shed light on
where you need to give more, or conversely where you need to open
up to receive love. In either case, the world can be a better
place through the giving and receiving of love.
