The Berlin Wall was torn down, and America thought she had won the cold
war. In truth, the end of one war was just the beginning of another
war to come. Now that the hot war is here the hellish reality of living
in fear of facing another mindless attack in some city within America
has caused untold millions to run to the church to find God.
We turn to God when something goes wrong but we leave God far behind
when something goes right. God isn't in a building made with the hands
of man. God is in the heart when the rule of compassion leads the way
to exercise upright thinking in relationship to life and all of its
divine manifestations. It was made clear by Jesus the worship of God
will no longer be in this or that mountain, and I might add neither
in this or that church building as well.
You first find God then you go to church rather than go to church to
find God. Millions go to church for years, and they still haven't found
God. God is inside his temple! His temple is the soul memory of the
physical body.
God is Spirit and tse who adore the Architect of the Universe will do
so in Consciousness and in being genuine. In other words, they will
walk their talk rather than talk without the walk. This is where you
find God, inside, and in no other place can God be, if God is to be
God. He must be God of the heart; The creator of your true will and
understanding of adoring life in all of its glorious materialization.
When Jesus called certain people vipers, snakes and hypocrites he knew
well they were disingenuous in their "so called" faith. It
is clear that if Jesus was here today he'd see the offspring of the
same people doing the same thing as their ancestry.
When we run to the churches to find God in times of trouble, we are
running away from the real God that lives in our heart.
When we clearly understand it is paramount for our well being to open
to a heart of compassion the corresponding thoughts and affections of
a Godly sort appear in the mind to think and delight in for Christ sake.
