We live in a time and a place where the application of faith in God, your country
and fellow man is foremost. Yet, there are people who practice a particular
faith for ten, fifteen or twenty years and find themselves debasing the very
faith they previously exalted.
Nearly everyone in America is finding it better to pride themselves on being
an American rather than an Afro-American, Spanish-American, Irish American,
etc.
We are first an American regardless of the genetic coding of a particular nationality.
If the "evil-doers" who attacked the World Trade Center and Pentagon cared about
the nationality of their own kind, they wouldn't target the WTC. But they didn't
care whether the people were black, white, yellow, brown or red. In fact, they
didn't care if they were Jewish, Christian, Hindu or Muslim. All they saw was
that everyone in America was an American! People from nearly every country
throughout the world were represented in the trade center on the day of the
disaster. All the "evil-doers" could see was the opportunity to kill Americans.
In truth, they were willing to kill their own kind as well. The end justifies
the means. It didn't bother them a bit. No conscience! These blind heartless
fools had to profane their Muslim faith to do what they did else they could
not do it. So like every fanatic they took out of context the religious text
because of their pretext. In pretense they used the name of Allah to kill when
in fact they were killing in the name of their own particular prejudice.
It isn't just international terrorist that desecrate their faith. People of
every faith, lose their faith, by becoming caught up with the personalities
of other people rather than the sacred principles guiding the universal renown.
And when they do they blame the person or place and remain stuck in their scorn
because of misguided notions.
I have seen many people come here with the idea they are going to find their
Savior in me, this place or someone they meet while here. In the long run they
fail themselves miserably. So much so they disgrace themselves by defaming the
same person or place they once held in high esteem. All they know is their way
is the right way but they can't go their way without first destroying the way
they upheld the very faith they now seek to end. I know of such people. A few
were here who now stand outside the faith they once chose as their personal
ministry. Such heartless people I have known in my time. You know some as well.
Don't desecrate your faith else you debase the truth that you know better. You
may not like the faith of someone else. But for the sake of your own soul you
need to respect another's faith. Looking down at the faith of another is degrading
yourself. It's humiliating. There is no upside to looking down at a person or
the place of their worship! It is a total let down in the after-life for all
who do. And if you do it then refrain from doing it further else you dig a deeper
pit.
