The Life Changing Law of Tithing

Tithing is a spiritual law that is found in both the Old and the New Testament. A person is to give 10 to 30% of all monies they have and all that comes to them, to the place where they receive their spiritual food or information.
Actually, you are not giving the tithe, it is the Supreme Being tithing through you. In a sense you are saying to the Supreme Being, “I’ll do things your way, not my way.” That allows the Supreme Being to come alive in you.
By tithing you are acknowledging that everything comes from the Supreme Being. In effect, He, not you, is the source of your supply. He is alive in those who are doing His work on the planet.
When you tithe you are not giving up anything because you will receive so much more. In Malachi, “...saith the Lord of Hosts, if I will not open for you the windows of heaven, and pour out for you a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” That doesn’t mean you can give with the expectation that you will receive something in return. Rather you tithe to follow the law, and in so doing, good things will come to you.
By tithing, you are demonstrating that the love of God is greater than the love of the world.
The nuts and bolts of tithing state that you should give 10 to 30% of your income to the place where you receive your spiritual information. It begins with First Fruits, where you take inventory of all that you own, and then tithe on that amount. Tithing has turned my life around.
Through tithing I have moved from leading an ego driven life, to realizing that God is in control and I am here for Him to have His life through this body. Furthermore, God is not available to help me lead the life I was programmed to lead. I am here to allow God to come alive in the world. In essence, I am here to lead the life of God. I spent a lifetime looking for answers outside of myself. Actually, seeking answers inside of myself was something new for me. As I began to look inside for answers, I opened myself to receiving spiritual information from the outside which helped me uncover answers inside of myself.
I believe people must pay attention to what’s going on inside in order to tithe. It’s just like having a calling. What you need to do will be revealed to you. I don’t believe it’s something you can rationally, or consciously do. In fact, it doesn’t make sense to the conscious mind.
What has tithing done for me? I have prospered in so many ways. Prosperity has four keys and deals with health, money, spirituality, and the mental aspect of life. Health has vastly improved. I had many upper respiratory problems which have subsided. From a monetary standpoint, I have a much healthier attitude towards money. Formerly, finances determined my life and now I see money as a tool to be used.
I have become more spiritual in terms of realizing that God is within and I am to do the work of him who sent me. Most importantly through tithing, I realized that God is the source of my life. Regarding the mental aspect, at 73 my mind is working well. I am actively engaged in the kinds of spiritual and hypnosis educational pursuits that are beneficial to others as well as myself.
Am I happy to be a tither? Of course I am. There is nothing in the world like the good feeling and benefits tithing provides for you.
