Tithing, Ageless Law Of Prosperity

Many people when they look upon the Bible, see it as an ancient collection of religious experiences and hard to understand stories, not applicable in our modern society. This cannot be further from the truth. The words recorded on these sacred pages are the most meaningful you will ever come across. They make up what is called the Living Bible and they reveal to us, in the most unique way, the direction our thoughts and deeds need to take for the health, wealth, and prosperity of our body, mind and soul complex. They need to be listened to, realized and reckoned with every day of our lives because they uncover our innermost fears, dreams and soul inclinations as this vehicle called our physical body interacts in this worldly environment. It is simply the only education the spirit has, that is fully documented, to attain heaven on earth and in the hereafter. It needs to be cherished, not avoided or feared.

On these Divine pages stories unfold, parables are recorded for study and examination, and the Word of the Supreme Being is etched into our earthly lifestyle so that we can awaken to the truth of His Presence as the Life that flows through the blood in our veins and arteries and in the energy channels in our body. Through the words of a man called Jesus, and through the memories and experiences of those who knew Him firsthand, we get a glimpse into the rules and regulations that govern spirit.

If you are familiar with the words in the Bible and you follow the scriptures in your everyday life then one of the Spiritual laws you should crave to be enlightened about is the Law of Tithing because it is the foundation for all prosperity. It applied in ancient times and it applies right now.

You cannot believe in one aspect of the written word and reject another. You cannot pick and choose which law you will follow and which not according to what is comfortable for your personality. That is being hypocritical and meaningless. It's like half baking a cake. It doesn't come out too good in the end. Either you believe and do your very best in following the words recorded in this sacred book or you don't.

Tithing simply and easily takes the load off of you in the world and puts it right where it is supposed to be, in the hands of the Supreme Being. He knows how we think, why we think, the way we think, what we think and He encrypted the right way to achieve a life filled with joy, mental and physical gratification and enough money to do whatever we want. Within our souls His life force energy is flowing. He knows that our tendency towards selfishness and greed will never be satisfied and that the only way to change the direction of these inherited thoughts and habits is to turn to Him within.

He says to test Him if we don't believe. He will show us the true meaning of prosperity. He will teach us what we need to know first so that we will have a solid foundation and be ready to handle the wealth when it manifests. It says it in Malachi 3:10: "Bring all the tithes into the storehouse that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it."

Tithing actually means a tenth. In ancient times a tenth meant a tenth of all that you were blessed with. If you had twenty sheep, you would give a tenth, or two of them, to the church. You would give one tenth of your harvest to the church so that the Supreme Being would be recognized as the true Source of all increase, because everything that exists is His, entrusted to us to use for the betterment of the world in some way or another. He gives us as much as we can have at any given moment. In Levitticus 23:10 it states: "Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye are come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest unto the priest." And so it was with anything added in your life.

Nowadays our medium of exchange is money, so instead the tithe is ten percent of all we receive using money as the wampum which we offer to the institution that shed light for us on this incredible spiritual law.

As in everything, there is always a beginning and the way tithing begins is by switching your allegiance from your belief that the world (your mother, your boss, your husband, your father, your wife, your grandparents, etc.) are the source of your supply, to a new belief that the Supreme Being is indeed the One and only Source of plenty. You do this not only in mind but in body also. In other words, you total up all of your worldly possessions (property, money, stocks, bonds, investments, clothes, furniture, appliances, automobiles, businesses, etc.), tally up its total worth in dollars, and hand over ten to thirty percent of the total to the institution or person who turned you on, lit your fire, sparked the love in your heart for this law of Spirit. This process is called First Fruits and it launches you on your journey to the interior of your being to discover the wealth within you. If you do not get inspired to uncover this miracle and follow this law, the Supreme Being is not ready to wake you up to His Presence yet. When you do get on fire for tithing, it can only be Him on fire within you because there is only One Life and you are the unique expression of His Life. Therefore He is the force within you that tithes. Only the Supreme Being can tithe. Human beings cannot.

After first fruits is given, from then on, the tithe is taken out first from the gross receipts and passed on. Each and every time. Your worrying is now over. Have faith. Keep it to yourself. The reward is the new information trickling through into your awareness each day of your life. You are now on a spiritual journey not merely an earthly one.

As with any law, it cannot be modified or changed to please the personality. Your heart knows what you should give. Don't try to second guess the Supreme Being. You will only be the one to suffer the pain of knowing you did something that was against what the God of your heart was showing you. If you do anything other than follow your heart after he's awakened within you, you will not rest until you change it. It just won't feel good. It is a very mathematically precise rule. No deviations. Just do it the way it is written and watch the fun unfold right before your very eyes. Remember that in order for the new to take hold, the old must leave, so things will begin to change. Let your mind and heart be open to the change.

There is one more major aspect to the program. If you are reluctant and unhappy or trying ways to tithe less, it will show up in your attitude and your behavior and attitude is more important than anything. In Matthew 23:23 Jesus says, "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cumin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone." The point is not the giving, since you can't give a tithe any way because only the Supreme Being can. The point is to realize that you are not separate from the Supreme Being. There is no separation in Divine Mind. You and He are One. He is within you and you are within Him. The tithe is your joyful acceptance of this truth.
